Dedra Amaka, (Owner, Master Stylist)
Dedra, 42, Master Celebrity Stylist of Durham, NC, and Mother of 3, is also a graduate of North Carolina Central University where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Finance in 2002 and Masters of Information Science in 2008. She is a great promoter of education where her motto is “Education is the tool you need to succeed”. She considers herself an artist in every aspect of the beauty industry and mainly focuses on healthy Natural hair. As a 2004 Dudley Beauty College graduate, and with several certificates in cutting and coloring, Dedra has over 15 years of experience in hair designing and styling. She has attended the Bronner Bros International Hair Show every year since 2003 taking business and skill classes. Dedra is one of the Influance Hair Care Techs in Training and she also attends the Influance NES yearly to gain all of her required Continuing Education hours. Obtaining the knowledge and proficiency from the classes allowed Dedra to satisfy any and every client.
Amaka’s was birthed in the Summer of 2004 immediately after graduating from Beauty College. Yes, that’s right!! 16 years this summer!! 3 Locations later, we are proud and excited to still serve the RTP area for 14 years!!
